Blue Bear Inn | On Crotched Mountain

I was attending a baby shower in Weare, NH the past weekennd and was referred to the Blue Bear Inn by local friends. Perfectly located for the baby shower and I took advantage of the location to get in a day of skiing on Crotched Mountain, a very good year for snow conditions! Room was charming, service from check-in to departure friendly. Had the opportunity to have a drink and appetizer at the bar, and the atmosphere was very pub like, people sharing stories, friendly bartender, and I wish I could've stayed for dinner based on the quality of my appetizer!

I loved my stay at Blue Bear Inn! The proprietors were very helpful and accommodating. They even opened the tavern / kitchen for us during a Monday blizzard so we did not need to venture out. Great for anyone wanting to ski Crotched Mountain. Its so close!!

The Blue Bear Inn exceeded my expectations in every way. The Inn Keepers were friendly and thoughtful. Everyone that I encountered throughout my stay were friendly and eager to answer questions about the area and activities. My room was spacious, updated, warm and cozy. The bathroom was huge. As an added bonus, the food in the pub was outstanding. There is so much to say … the view is gorgeous and the proximity to skiing is ideal. I cannot wait to return to experience the summer version of this exceptional Inn!

Absolutely love the Blue Bear Inn! The atmosphere is wonderful—super cozy and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the owners and staff are truly awesome people who go above and beyond. Can’t wait to come back!

The Blue Bear Inn was such a lovely place to stay, even if just for a night! Really great location not far from Boston, but in such a relaxing location. Carrie and Bobby are so friendly and have made the inn into such a welcoming spot. The restaurant was excellent and the other staff were wonderful as well!

I don’t even know where to begin! This place is the best. We booked our wedding venue last year at allrose farm in greenfield and we’re having a very hard time to find a place to accommodate our big bridal party. We came across Blue bear and fell in love. Our wedding was 10.25.25 and we knew blue bears vibes and view was exactly what we needed for our fall wedding. We quickly booked the whole place out with Carrie . She was so nice and so much information to help us on our wedding weekend. We booked each room for our bridal party , we had the whole place for 3 nights and it felt like home. Our rehearsal dinner was here the Friday night. The food was amazing! We wanted bbq style dinner and we definitely got that. The brisket, bbq chicken and Mac and cheese was to die for . We also booked our after party here. The food hit the spot after a long night of celebrating at our reception. Carrie made sure she had staff to accommodate our party late night! We even had a fire pit . Carrie made she that we had everything that we needed for our weekend.We got ready in room #9 for the girls .This room was beautiful and elegant. It has outdoor access and having my four legged friend is very helpful. We have been home for 3 days now and everyone has been messages me what a great place blue bear inn is. We already have plans with my closest friends to spend a weekend here in the summer! I cannot recommend the blue bear enough!

Went up north to do some hiking and found this charming bed and breakfast on a whim. Was exactly what we were looking for, excellent food, friendly atmosphere and cozy rooms. The owners and staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely be going back

My Wife and I spent a beautiful weekend enjoying Blue Bear . Booking our Last Minute trip was easy on the website and follow up texts were excellent . My Call from Austin Tx to book a family brunch was immediately answered and confirmed . We stayed in a King Room with an ADA bath which was huge , well appointed and the Hot Water was always perfect . Room was cozy , Clean , well maintained and comfortable . We enjoyed two dining experiences while we were there. Dinner for 4 and an amazing Family Brunch for 8 on Sunday . Every plate was well presented , Hot Fresh and delicious. We tried so many of Chef Meg’s (I really hope I got her name right ) creations from Mushroom and Squash Ravoli , The Tavern Smash Burger , traditional Breakfasts with a flair and my favorite the Smoked Prime Rib Benedict. Service in the Inn was Casual , Personal and Welcoming . We will be Back and thank the Blue Bear family for a great stay .
